Baptist Evangelist David Harper first envisioned The White Mountain Soap Company” after the loss of his right leg in August of 2004. He decided he would try his hand at making homemade bar soaps and attempted to see where this would lead him. After much trial and error he formulated a bar soap, which he believed would help other amputees and diabetics. This of course went by the wayside due to the lack of his financial ability, yet the desire to help his fellow amputees did not wane.
With the help of friends, White Mountain Skin Care came together as the great success and potential of the product was evident to many people who tried our sample soaps. Many people had skin conditions ranging from minor to severe and found fast relief with these products. Excitement began to grow and ideas flowed. Since seeing the potential of the soap, the obvious question was asked, “Can we do anything for you to bring this product to the marketplace in order to help other amputees and diabetics find relief? Well work was begun in earnest and ”Limb Defense” – a new line of liquid products was born. These products do not contain harsh or harmful chemicals or solvents many use as fillers. Many “Personal Care Products” achieve their antibacterial goals by adding harmful industrial pesticides as bacterial germ killers. Our formulations contain no such harmful chemicals or steroids. We use ingredients with natural anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-fungal, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory, infection fighting properties. The main side effect of wearing silicone liners and sleeves on a constant basis is that there is a consistent moist environment where bacteria, fungus, and viruses can breed, causing many issues for the amputee and specifically the diabetic amputee. My desire to help my fellow amputees has been a driving force in my life since 2004, but more importantly my faith has carried me through almost 28 of my 51 years. I have had 19 surgeries spread over a 16-year period of time and I do not know what I would have done without the comfort and peace that the Bible brings to one’s life. Below are a few Bible references that have made my life worth living. They have helped me through many hard and painful times. I am not putting them here for you to think I use them as a crutch, for I do not. I would buy a pair if I needed some. I am telling you about them so that if you are not sure how to handle the trying times that will always come into ones life, then perhaps you will find the love of god and the peace that passes all understanding.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy

Romans 8:28 and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
