“White Mountain Naturals Soap Company” was first envisioned by Evangelist David Harper after the loss of his right leg in August of 2004. David was unable to gain a prosthetic leg for almost 8 months after his amputation due to a variety of situations and insurance issues and decided since he was wheelchair and house bound he needed a hobby.
 
He decided he would try his hand at making homemade bar soaps and attempt to see where this would lead him. After much trial and error he formulated a soap which he believed would help other amputees. This of course went by the wayside due to the lack of financial ability, yet the desire to help fellow amputees did not wane. Around February 1st, 2007 a close pastor friend and his wife came for a visit and David told them that he was making his own soap for his family’s use, and told them of the healing properties of the ingredients, and gave them a sample to try. This friend’s wife had been plagued by skin problems for years – mainly dry itchy skin around the nose and in the ears, and also problems on the arms and legs from allergic reactions to bug bites (no-see-ums) – and she found that by using the bar soap with the all natural ingredients her skin and facial problems cleared up with in a few days – and she is no longer plagued or bothered by breakouts or skin irritations, or even those little bugs.
 
The partnership came together as the great success and potential of the product was evident to many other people who tried the products.  Many people had similar skin problems and found fast relief with these natural products.
 
Excitement began to grow and ideas flowed.  Since David’s friends breed and raise fine Alaskan Malamutes, the obvious question was asked, “Can you do something for our animals that will be all natural and help to condition the skin, coat, and which could also help with flea and tick infestations. Well work was begun and David went even further and created “Canine Defense” – a new line of all natural liquid products which do not contain those harmful chemicals or pesticides found in many “Pet Care Products”. Our “Canine Defense Wash and Shampoo” also helps to rid your pet from “Hot Spots” usually caused by dust mites. For further help “Canine Defense Skin Conditioner and Moisturizer” was also created to aid in the control of more severe irritations, hot spots, and skin abrasions. Used in conjunction with one another, your “Best Friend” stands a good chance of living a better life free from the discomforts that eventually arise in every animal’s life. One of the wonderful benefits of our “wash and shampoo” is in respect to the – for a lack of a better term – “wet dog smell” that is so common after bathing your pet. After meeting with Pastor Nash Desent and his wife Suzanne, Evangelist David Harper and the Desent’s have formed a partnership and created a parent company called, “White Mountain Products Company”. This company has a two fold purpose, One, is to be able to address our canine friends and their health concerns.  The other is to help amputees with the management of their residual limbs so as to help avoid as many infections as possible with cleansing products that will be naturally antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic, combined with natural healing properties. These issues are also addressed with our “Canine Defense” line of products.
